It’s human nature to want to eavesdrop. Well-written dialogue gives a listener the sense of being in on a private conversation. Dialogue draws the ear and piques the interest.
It also makes copywriting easier because it allows for conflict and resolution. It’s much easier to write funny work in dialogue than in monologue.
